High Tide Festival "Aqua"

Saturday 5th December, 7.30pm Cosy Corner Torquay

Call out to all those who would like to have a go at community music making for the creation of the soundscape to accompany Circus 3230 physical theatre performance of Aqua.
No experience necessary, just a commitment to rehearsal times and bring: enthusiasm, water bottle. Every body and every ability welcome.
Flutes, violins and all instruments encouraged. Percussion instruments available.

Rehearsals: Every Thursday in November 7-9pm, Bellbrae Hall, 90 School Rd Bellbrae
Dress rehearsal: Cosy Corner: Thursday 3rd December, 7-9pm

Performance: Saturday 5th December at Cosy Corner. Park in Pt Danger carpark at the end of The Esplanade, Torquay. Walk to the Front Beach not the surf beach.

Costume: Wear white with your festival Tshirt, please order your size with me. Wear runners. Call or email Jacqui to register your interest or if you need to book a drum.

High Tide Festival Street Parade, Nov 2009

Saturday 5th December, 11.00am

“High Tide Swing” (Drumming and Dance)

Always wanted to have a go at drumming and dancing down the street or up on a truck?

So here is your opportunity to try it out!

10.00am: Meet at Point Danger, end of The Esplanade, Torquay. Warm up, learn the rhythms and movements for the High Tide Swing.

11.00am-12noon: Get on the truck!

Parade will go straight down the Esplanade to Elephant Walk. Wear white with your festival Tshirt, please order your size with me. Wear runners. Put your water bottles, bags on the truck. Call or email Jacqui to register your interest or if you need to book a drum.

Opening Night for the High Tide Festival
Friday, 4th December, 2009

Performing artists, Jacqui Dreessens andWendy Grose invite all adults of absolutely any ability to join them to create an outdoor performance to open High Tide Festival 2009.

The festival theme this year is “Natural Balance”.

We can all do with some of that! You only need enthusiasm, a water bottle and be able to attend the following dates and times ...

Rehearsals: Wednesdays 18 & 25 November 6-8pm Sunday 29 November 4-6pm

Dress Rehearsal: Wednesday 2nd December 6-8pm

Performance and warm up: Friday 4 December – 5-7pm

All of above to be held at Spring Creek river mouth, behind the Torquay Surf Club.
